BUSINESS CLASS (ENGLISH)

THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL is unfair as it provides non compliant aircraft on scheduled flights. From PARIS to BANGKOK (CDG / BKK) since 3 years it is a 7443 BOEING 747-400 series which is advertised and supposed to be provided daily. But THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL plans old 7442 BOEING 747-400 series on several days. There is no difference for Coach class (325 seats) but in first and Business class this is not the same song. On the promised 7443 series there are 40 seats (Business) with lie flat beds but on 7442 series there are NO lie flat beds, 50 seats in the same cabin space.

So, the lack of comfort in Business Class of 7442 series is outrageous : more seats (50 instead of 40) in the same space, shorter pitch of seat rows, non lie flat seat, and so on. Moreover according to French Legislation, this could be considered as a "misleading information". There is an extract of the answer of the French official D.G.C.C.R.F (Government's office for consumers care and protection) on an other page of this BLOG. I sent my claim after I  noticed  that THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL has NO consideration for its business passenger and customers. Here is what THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL promises DAILY on CDG / BKK non stop flight (11:30 hours) :

From Paris flights * are operated on BOEING 747-400 (version 7443)

so THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL does not provide the " product" supposed to be when, ONCE AGAIN, on CDG / BKK daily flight (TG 931) of 2009 March 31, it is the 7442 series which is on the ramp in CDG. At a price of some 4 000 $ to 10 000 $ for a return ticket on business class (CDG / BKK) this is insane.

 
THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL makes the aircraft change not at the last minute (which can occurs of course in case of an uneventful problem) but 3 weeks before. It is an shameful when THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL answer to passenger's claim than unsatisfied passengers can get the refund of the ticket if they decide not flying. THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL ! This pitiful company perfectly knows that anyone cannot change its flights and bookings on an other airlines, some days before scheduled of travel, or fly on an other date on THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL according to bookings, scheduled business meetings, and so on.

On my last 4 flights from CDG to BKK, TWICE I got a BOEING 747-400 series instead of the 7443 supposed to be provided. No I DO NOT fly anymore on THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL from CDG to BKK.
